The Door Story  Truax Construction Inc. has been building log homes throughout the northeast since 1986. In 1999 we began building custom wood doors because the doors available did not fit in with our vision of what a log home should look like. Our doors are handcrafted from solid knotty pine dried to furniture grade 8% moisture content.
Custom Stairs In 1988 we began building custom stairs. These are built from pine and can be open or closed riser and may have log or timber stringers. We reccommend using timber against sidewalls. Stairs can be made with log or timber steps. Steps are mortice and tenoned to stringers and shipped loose for final assembly on site.

Construction is with 1 1/2” stiles and rails and mortice and tenon corners with 3/4” center panels. Stiles and rails are double pegged for additional strength and stability. Doors are face bored and back set for standard lockset. There are 4 styles to chose from, all delivered ready for light sanding and finish. These doors look like they belong and give your Log or Post & Beam home the finishing touch it needs!!
